Eab015_2 With October rapidly approaching, the forecast is a flood of fun activities for the jet-setting lesbian crowd. To start, the Women of Provincetown Innkeepers present the 24th Annual Women's Week in, you guessed it, Provincetown. From October 10-19th, Women’s Week promises something for everyone with nine days jam-packed of events: see plays and musical performances, attend book readings, dances, and wine tastings along with all the usual Provincetown activities. Maui_coast_2If you’re on the west coast, Russian River in Guerneville, CA will be hosting Fabulosa Fest 2008 an arts and music fundraising event Columbus Day (Some Californians would say Indigenous People’s Day) weekend, October 10-12th. Money raised from ticket sales will be donated to LGBT and queer-oriented charities in Guerneville, San Francisco and beyond. The event promises to be a fun-filled extravaganza, complete with live outdoor concerts by Judea Eden, Von Iva and 8 Inch Betsy (and many others), a crafts fair, exhibitions of independent short films by Bay-area women filmmakers, and pool parties featuring the spinning talents of DJs Beyonda, La Niche and many more.

For something a little closer to the earth, hop on a plane to the Womyn's Wyldlife Weekend 2008  inL_146563bee71e60b8ad662f9e1a1b1943Keanae, Maui. Hiking, waterfalls and workshops complement the more relaxing massages,  games and delicious food, making for an enjoyable and relaxing weekend.

If you’re into the more European lez scene, Portuguese capital Lisbon is proud to present the 2nd Anniversary Lesboa Party on the weekend of October 3, at Pavilhao das Exposições of ISA. The party begins to the DJ stylings of R. Kraft and continues into the night. With the help of female DJs Mariana Couto, Rita Zukt and Tânia Pascoal representing Portuguese electronic music, prepare for a night of drinking, dancing and socializing.
