Wintertime can be cute: you get to wear your favorite cashmere sweaters, celebrate the holidays, and play in the snow.
Until January. By now the holidays are over, our lips are chapped, and the lack of sunlight is having a serious negative effect on our mood (and tans!). The solution? Celebrate the Winter Party Festival!
How is that going to help? Because it's a massive outdoor dance party in South Beach!
Today, January 7, is the last day you can buy your discounted pass for this Miami fun festival, with 10 days worth of events that finishes off with the fabulous beach boogie on March 1.
The events are the definition of inclusive, as there's something here for every kind of queer.
The beginning of the week includes an LGBT family picnic on Feb. 22 co-hosted by South Florida Family Pride, Pride youth skating for ages 13-20 in Ft. Lauderdale on the 24th, and even a gay-friendly interfaith religious service on the 26th.
But it really picks up on Friday, where highlights include an outdoor swimwear fashion show on the 27th, a reception at the Kiehl's store at Miami Beach with free cocktails, product discounts, free consultations, and the chance to win a full customized skincare regiment.
Follow this up with a Johnny Chisholm/JustCircuit dance party featuring DJs Manny Lehman, Eddie Baez, Wendy Hunt, Lydia Prim, and more. If you're looking for ladies there's the popular Pandora dance party at Nikki Beach's Pearl Restaurant and Ultra Lounge.
