For those in the know, the words "sale" and "Pines" should never appear this close together in a sentence. But we are delighted to report that, indeed, the Hotel Ciel, a modestly upgraded version of the old "concrete bunker" formerly known as the Botel, is offering a discount starting Memorial Day right through June.
With very few public accommodations options in this tiny almost-completely-gay summer community that regularly welcomes over 100,000 visitors during the warmer months, Pines hotel properties rarely have to offer any sort of discount. But in anticipation of Hotel Ciel's scheduled luxury upgrade this fall, the new owners are extending the following discounts:
- For Memorial Day Weekend, book using code "MEMORIAL" for 10% off any room;
- For the rest of June, book using code "SHERMANS" for 5% off. (Full disclosure: We received notice of this deal from our colleague who writes the fantastic gay blog for Shermans Travel.)
Speaking of colleagues, Out writer Jesse Archer dispenses entirely with accommodations during his annual Survivor Weekend at the Pines. He cuddles up to whatever friend is crazy enough to join him as well as sand fleas and deers.
Visitors have another option at the Pines. The Madison is a mini boutique-like inn with a pool, roof deck, 
and WiFi throughout the property located a minute's walk from the ferry landing. To the right is a picture of the pool and pool-deck area.
