Provincetown is for Women

Womens_travel

Provincetown is for women and men, gay and straight. It really is one of the most diverse gay resorts in the world, across gender, gender expression, body types, and ages, and increasingly by racial background and ethnic origin. True that during high season -- which basically runs from late June through early September -- it's much more homogeneously gay male and a bit higher up on the economic food chain.

But even during the height of summer gay women are present in sizable numbers. Still, Provincetown, a hop skip and jump from most major north American cities via AA.com and JetBlue continuing on to Cape Air, is a bit more popular with women in the shoulder season (late spring and late summer/early fall) as well as the off season. But it is absolutely packed with women at least five times a year and this is thanks, in part, to the energy of a handful of dedicated event producers and primarily Lynette Molnar of Girl Power Productions, promoter of many events for women in Provincetown.

Here's a highlight of their most popular upcoming events this year.

Single Women’s Weekend, May 21-23
