Las Vegas' fabulous Luxor Hotel -- you know, the cool one with the gigantic pyramid (below right) -- is gearing up for a hot gay summer.
For the second year in a row, Luxor is hosting an LGBT pool party hosted by J. Son from NakedBoyNews.com
and featuring contests, drink specials and music by DJ Axis. Called Temptation Sundays, the party is held each week from
1p.m. - 7 p.m. at Luxor's South Pool. General admission is $20 and $10
for locals and Luxor or Excalibur hotel guests.
Each Temptation Sunday party is themed. This Sunday June 20 is Wild Wild West - The Cowboys of
Summer. The next three Sundays are as follows:
- June 27 - 80's Day -
Come ready to experience a flash back to the 1980's.
- July 4 - Happy Birthday
USA - Red, White and Boom with Body Boyz.
- July 11 - Glam Sunday -
Rock the Pink Carpet.
This hot summer Sunday party series (and we mean that in both senses of the word -- this is the desert
after all!) goes all the way through Labor Day weekend (Sunday, September 5).
Temptation Sundays also will serve as the closing pool party on August 15 for Fabulous Las Vegas: A City Without Limits, a sizzling, extended weekend celebration where Luxor and its MGM sister resorts really roll out the red carpet for the LGBT community. Fabulous Las Vegas, which runs August 12-15 boasts a hot line up of parties and other activities. The highlight includes a select number of seats to the sold-out Lady Gaga show for Fabulous Las Vegas attendees. Gay-friendly (and gay fabulous) JetBlue recently signed on as a sponsor.
