New York City's Pride Cruise
Story by Ed Salvato
New York's Gay Pride is fast approaching and there is a huge variety of events and activities -- both official and informal -- that you can choose among. Here's another very tempting option to consider: a nighttime Pride cruise around Manhattan. A cruise on the Hudson is a great way to cool down after a hot New York summer day, plus it's an unforgettable way to see the skyline.
New York's famous Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises on 42nd Street at the Hudson River is hosting a gay cruise on Saturday, June 26. It's called the Gay "Pride Not Prejudice" Cruise. It's scheduled to start boarding at Pier 83 at 42nd Street and the Hudson River at 7:30pm, and sail from 8pm till midnight. Tickets are $35 and available online.
The cruise features four hours of entertainment and complimentary beer from Heartland Brewery. The DJ is Charo Velecio and the special guest star entertainer is the the lovely electric techno violinist Sarina Suno.
