Grab your mouse ears and red t-shirt, and head west!
Gay Days Anaheim is scheduled to take place Friday October 1 through Sunday October 3, with the big day at Disneyland on Saturday Otober 2.
Wear your brightest, gayest red t-shirt. Gather up your bestest besties and get ready for an amazingly fun, wholesome day of frivolity Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, a short mouse hop south of Los Angeles.
This event is called a "mix in," meanging gay people and straight people mingle together, with the park open to the general public.
The first Gay Days Anaheim in 1998 attracted about 2,500 people. In 2007, for the 10th annual event,
there were about 30,000. At this year's events, organizers expect about 35,000 participants. What was once a small one-day gathering has become a full weekend hoo-ha. Events include two big dance parties, a VIP cocktail party, a Disneyland sponsored mixer, a single riders gathering, scavenger hunts, a pool party, and more.
Las Vegas is the sponsor of the Kingdom Party at the House of Blues. Absolut is the drink sponsor and will host the bar. (That's Alec Mapa to the right at Gay Days 2009.)
Schedule highlights:
- Oct. 1-3 Gay Days at Disneyland
- Oct. 1 Private client reception (Friday) 5:30 – 8 p.m.
- Oct. 2 Kingdom Party (Saturday) from 9 p.m. – 1:30 a.m.
The most fun event for kids at heart is Saturday at Disneyland, the day you get to run around from ride to ride, let all your adult cares and woes go, and just scream like a baby!

By unofficial, it's meant that the event isn't presented by Disneyland so if you contact Disneyland asking for information about Gay Day, they will tell you that this is not a Disney event.
