Cables are the bane of any tech-savvy traveler's life. There's always a knot of them in your carry-on and if you lose one, your precious images and files are locked in the camera until you get home. And don't even think about what happens if you don't bring a cable and on the last day of a trip your camcorder is stolen...
So, we're excited by Samsung's HMX-S16 camcorder. It's HD, of course, and does sharp still images, too, which is the way of the future. But most of all, we love the WiFi capability. Take the movie and fire it right to your laptop, or any compatible device, for upload. Short of a live link via satellite, you don't get much more immediate.
The cost? Around $845.
