As you approach the new year, we're sure you've decided you need to be a bit more adventurous in your 2013 travels. Why not kick it off with an Icelandic excursion in January. The second annual Rainbow Reykjavik LGBT International Winter Festival is set for January 31 through February 3 and will include tours to see the Northern Lights, geysers, waterfalls, and the Continental Divide. Oh, and don't forget great meals and dance parties, as well as pure wellness and relaxation in the world famous geothermal spa of the Blue Lagoon (pictured above).

To get the camp factor up, there will also be a music concert featuring Eurovision stars, including Hera Björk and Paul Oscar. "We're planning a late concert, starting off with the ballads and moving our way up to the songs that will make you want to throw your chair into a corner to get up and dance….which you will be allowed to do, of course!” says Eva María Thorarinsdottir Lange, managing director of Pink Iceland, Iceland’s top tour operator dedicated to LGBT clientele.
