Winter Wonderland in New York City

THE OUT NYC has created a Winter Wonderland for all guests and visitors while enjoying a post-holiday, (hopefully) less-packed New York City.

THE OUT NYC has created a Winter Wonderland for all guests and visitors while enjoying a post-holiday, (hopefully) less-packed New York City. The hotel's courtyard is now a winter playground, filled with snowflakes, holiday lights, and ornaments, as well as a freshly installed ice skating rink. The rink will be open Thursdays Sundays from 2-7 P.M. through March 2013. There is a suggested $10 entrance fee with partial proceeds going to charity. Check out how the rink was created here if you're curious.

After your ice skating thrills, warm up in the hot tubs and enjoy delectable fondues and cozy libations in a lodge-like hideaway. A Winter Wonderland menu—served daily from 2-9 p.m.—features a specialty fondue menu that appeals to both sweet and savory cravings such as “The Après,” a pure Vacherine cheese fondue, or sweet chocolate fondue such as South American Spiced Chocolate.

At the arctic-themed bar, take your pick from a cocktail menu created by celebrated mixologist Duane Fernandez Jr. Selections include the tequila-based Mexican Hot Chocolate (made with Patron), and for whiskey fans, the Alps Bourbon Cream made with Old Forester and served hot or cold. THE OUT NYC recently received a 2012 Top 100 Hotel Award from Fodor's in the Trendsetter category, and offers rooms ranging from spacious one bedroom suties, overlooking the courtyard or with city views, to 'Luxury Quad Bunk Rooms' which includes a personal TV for each person and has that communal-like charm for solo travelers. Other amenities include the full-service Spa and a gym with personal training, the XL Nightclub from nightlife legends John Blair and Beto Sutter, and restaurant KTCHN, which serves modern American cuisine.
