Gay8 Returns to Miami’s Little Havana for a Second Year
Last year more than 17,000 people came out for Miami’s inaugural Gay8 (pronounced Gay Ocho) Festival, the first Latino LGBT art, music and food street festival in the city’s famed Little Havana district.
Building on that success, this year’s sophomore run-taking place Sunday, January 15 from 11am to 10pm-will include dance parties, food tastings, cigar tastings, performances and 3 LGBT-themed films from Miami Dade College’s Tower Theater and the Miami International Film Festival. There will also be a special exhibit by the Stonewall National Museum related to the Pulse nightclub shooting and highlighting the issue of gun violence in our community.
