Gay actor (and Out cover star) Wilson Cruz is among the latest Hollywood stars to urge fellow Americans to get vaccinated in new PSAs from The Creative Coalition and the National Blue Ribbon Task Force to Stem COVID-19 Vaccine Hesitancy.

Getting vaccinated not only may save your live and that of your family members, it is also the most effective way to prevent future surges and allow all of us to return to more normal lives, including the reopening of international travel.

Cruz's PSA went live today:

This is a continuation of The Creative Coalition’s efforts, which began in April, with the first PSA, starring Academy Award-winning actor Morgan Freeman. The organization also announced it had reached an agreement for the PSAs to be shown in movie theaters across the country.

Now Freeman is joined by Cruz (Star Trek: Discovery), Emmy Award-winning journalist Ann Curry (Today Show, NBC News), SAG Award-winning actor Jon Huertas (This Is Us), Emmy Award-winning and Golden Globe-nominated actor John Leguizamo (The Mandalorian), SAG Award-winning actor James Pickens Jr. (Grey’s Anatomy), Emmy Award-nominated actor CCH Pounder (NCIS: New Orleans), Academy Award-nominated actor Gabourey Sidibe (Empire), and Emmy Award-nominated and SAG Award-winning actor Chandra Wilson (Grey’s Anatomy). Additional PSAs featuring other artists, including actor Alyssa Milano (Insatiable, Charmed), will be released soon.

The Puerto Rican actor also recorded his PSA in Spanish:
