Trixie Mattel Announces 'Trixie Motel' Is Getting A Second Season

The Trixie Motel renovation series is getting a second season on Max.

The Trixie takeover continues!

In 2022, fans got to watch RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars 3 winner Trixie Mattel buying a motel and renovating it completely alongside her partner David Silver. While Trixie Motel initially premiered on Discovery+, the first season of the series is now available on Max following the merger of streaming services within Warner Bros Discovery.

Season one of Trixie Motel told the complete story of Trixie and David buying a motel in Palm Springs, renovating the whole place, and opening it up for guests. As such, a second season of the show was uncertain.

Well, it seems like Trixie and David are opening up a new location, and Trixie Motel is getting a second season as a result! The couple made the announcement on Instagram with a photo of them together and a caption that reads, “And we’re back #TMseason2.”

Trixie Motel follows a similar format of renovation shows that typically air on HGTV. The series is even produced by Scott Brothers Global, the production company from Property Brothers stars Drew and Jonathan Scott. However, Trixie made sure that the show was dragged-up and queer-coded in every single episode, making it an exciting experience even for people who don’t regularly tune into HGTV.

Even though Trixie and David have now confirmed that season two of Trixie Motel is coming, we still don’t know where this new cycle will take place. Maybe a second motel in Palm Springs, or an entirely new, gay-friendly location?

Whatever the plan is, we’re already looking forward to watching this new season of Trixie and David on Trixie Motel!

Trixie Motel season one is available for streaming on Max.
