“PFLAG is built on a foundation of motherly love for our LGBTQ+ kids, which is why we are so excited to share the PFLAG Virtual Mother’s Day Brunch on Sunday. It feels especially important to show our love right now with a virtual PFLAG hug, when it’s hard to be close this Mother’s Day,” Kathy Godwin, president of the board of PFLAG National said in a press statement.

“In a time of crisis, vulnerable LGBTQ+ people rely on their local PFLAG to support them and their families,”  Brian K. Bond, executive director of PFLAG National added.

PFLAG National has launched PFLAG Connects, providing the critical digital programming, resources, and tools parents and families need to be the allies their LGBTQ+ loved ones depend on. “PFLAG Connects helps make sure those famous ‘PFLAG hugs’ from mom are still there, even if we can’t be in person,” Bond said.

Funded in part by the David Bohnett Foundation, PFLAG Connects provides local chapters with online meeting tools, educational resources and trainings, and live events.

Join The “PFLAG Virtual Mother’s Day Brunch” airs at pflag.org/mothersday — simultaneously on Facebook, Twitter (@PFLAG), and YouTube — starting at 2:00 pm ET / 11:00 am PT.
