Marcia Prentice, an American photographer whose work has appeared in publications like Architectural Digest and Vanity Fair Italia, recently traveled the world to bring back with her glimpses into the lives of 18 artists and designers (as well as the cities in which they live) through images of their homes. Now, more than 250 of those photographs are presented together in How We Live, a coffee table book that feels as much like a travel journal as it does an interior design book. Prentice captures a diverse range of spaces in cities like Mumbai, Beirut, Porto, Mexico City and Amsterdam. Along the way, she also introduces us to an amazing assortment of creative individuals like fashion designer Artsi Ifrach, whose home in Marrakech is featured on the cover and James van der Velden, an interior architect and spatial designer (image below.)
