Air New Zealand launched a big-budget safety video starring the cast of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies — coming out December 17 — and filmed in Middle Earth, er, Kiwi.
Featuring everyone from Frodo (Elijah Wood), Radagast (Sylvester McCoy), and director Peter Jackson, the video takes a humorous approach to the safety videos most fliers ignore (at one point, a character is defecated on). Air New Zealand partnered with The Hobbit franchise for the entire film series, placing hobbit images on planes and adding film content to their website.
