US Air Flight Had Passengers Ralphing In the Aisles

A flight from hell for everyone involved.

A flight from Tel Aviv to Philadelphia made an emergency landing in Rome on Friday night after passengers and crew got violently ill due to a noxious odor, according to reports.

Many on the flights began vomiting, while others complained of nausea and irritated eyes. Fourteen crewmembers and two passengers grew seriously ill and three flight flight attendants were sent to a clinic in Rome via ambulance.

While US Air isn't saying the cause of the illnesses, the culprit is mostly likely fumes that wafted into the cabin; that appeared to be the cause of a similar, but less severe, incident last month on a flight out of North Carolina.
