Midnight Modern

Iconic modern homes photographed at night to be shown one day only during Palm Springs Modernism Week

On Friday, February 20, Australian photographer Tom Blachford will show his latest works, “Midnight Modern”, a series of architectural portraits of acclaimed homes like the Kaufmann house, designed by Richard Neutra in 1946. The exhibit, shown as part of Palm Springs Modernism Week, will be on view for one day only in another of Palm Springs’s most iconic homes, the Menrad Residence. Those familiar with the 27 year-old photographer’s work - some of which has appeared in Dwell, Australian Vogue and Domus - will recognize these as a continuation of his recent series of Palm Springs homes basking in the glow of a full moon.

The exhibit will be on display February 20, from 12 noon to 7 p.m. The exact location will be provided upon purchasing your ticket here. Images from “Midnight Modern” will be available for sale on-site or at tomblachford.com.
