If you think the headline refers to gay-centric West Hollywood, Calif., you're almost correct! It's actually the name of a new museum exhibit at the Petersen Automotive Museum in nearby Los Angeles. Located at 6060 Wilshire Blvd (at Fairfax), the Petersen, the nation's premier automotive museum, explores the automobile and its impact on American Life and Culture. Besides perhaps Detroit, it's difficult to think of a better American city to house such a museum. If you're here during LA Gay Pride in West Hollywood, a visit to the Petersen would make a fun escape. (June 12-13, 2010.)
Gay car geeks will love the Petersen's latest exhibit. In Good Guys, Bad Guys, Hot Cars the museum presents the colorful array of vehicles driven by crime fighters and villains from iconic television series and film including The Dukes of Hazzard, Magnum P.I. (with the hunky Tom Selleck driving a 1982 Ferrari 308GTS, pictured at right), Batman, and Iron Man 2.
It also includes the Pontiac Trans Am used in the new series The Good Guys, but it's only open till August 1, 2010. So rev your engines and step on it.
