Evita Takes Over Buenos Aires

Today marks the 59th anniversary of the death of the beloved Eva Peron a.k.a. Evita, and it seems all of Argentina is paying respects, especially in Buenos Aires. Tonight at 8:25pm (the time she died), a giant portrait of her will be revealed on one of the city’s most prominent buildings, and throughout the day there'll be memorials, marches, and general fandom at her tomb. No crying, of course. All in all a bit like being in a Andrew Lloyd Webber production -- minus Madonna.
