Gay Agenda: Hats - An Anthology by Stephen Jones

Stephen Jones for Comme des Garcons AW 08_CDG

“A hat makes clothing identifiable, dramatic – and most importantly, Fashion… It’s the cherry on the cake, the dot on the ‘i’, the exclamation mark, the fashion focus. Everyone from showgirls to dictators know that by wearing a hat they will be the center of attention.” – Stephen Jones

You are what you wear. Every piece of clothing tells a story -- especially a hat. And what about a display of more than 250 hats? Just in time for Fashion's Night Out and NYC Fashion Week, comes Hats: An Anthology by Stephen Jones

In collaboration with the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Bard Graduate Center in New York City will play host to a showcase of hats ranging from 12th Egyptian fez to Jones couture, motorbike helmets to the simple tiara. The exhibition has been divided so as to inspire, show how the creations are made, reflect in the salon exposing the craft at its absolute best and then reveal hats worn by clients such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Brad Pitt and member's of the British Royal family.

Full details and more stunning images after the jump.
