From reading our Europe’s Fab Four Guide you should already know Germany has more gay-rich supercity power than nearly any other nation in the world. And with it now comes for the third term, a gay mayor for Berlin.

Klaus Wowereit has secured a third five-year term which analysts deem successful due to his personal popularity. Hopefully this win will be a step towards becoming the Social Democratic Party’s candidate for German chancellor in 2013, but until then, he is out and says “it’s a good thing”.
