Television producer, memoirist, and No.17 on our list of Things We Love About Sweden, Rickard Engfor knows Stockholm in a way that only the country's "Best-Looking Girl" could -- intimately and extravagantly. Before rising to American eyes in The Knife's "Pass This On" video, he gained fame as part of legendary drag troupe After Dark.
Here, his five-point Must List for the cool capital:
1. Sodermalm -- “I love my neighborhood, SoFo, in this district, with shopping, bars, and restaurants. And yes, the name is inspired by N.Y.C.”
2. Urban Deli -- “Located at Nytorget 4 in the middle of SoFo. A great place to meet people.” UrbanDeli.org
3. Torget -- “I’m too old for clubbing, but this gay bar at Mälartorget 13 in Gamla Stan feels like home.” TorgetBaren.com
4. Beyond Retro -- “The SoFo area is famous for its stores with handpicked vintage fashion. This one at Åsögatan 144 is the biggest.” BeyondRetro.com
5. Golden Hits -- “Sweden loves schlager. Especially the gay Swedes. Golden Hits at Kungsgatan 29 offers dining, shows, and crazy karaoke. Not trendy at all, but super fun.” Wallmans.com
