There’s Something Fabulous in the State of Denmark

Copenhagen capped off its pride parade fest earlier this month in style, all caught on home video. Some intrepid videographer filmed some of the highlights and some of the behind the scenes action at this year’s parade, and it is fantastic.

Watch men in dresses frolic in a park, drag queens march in the streets, and other members of the miscellaneous cast of characters that crop up at pride parades.  Though Copenhagen has been much praised for it’s vibrant gay life and general bonhomie, you’ve got no idea until you see it all in action. As with any pride coverage –especially in Europe- this video is a bit NSFW but it’s most definitely worth a gander, especially if you find yourself pining for prides past. So if you’re planning next summer’s getaway, maybe say hej to Copenhagen, it looks like a blast.
