Bitch.
In the 80s & 90s, Sally Struthers was the butt of a lot of cruel jokes, mostly for her weight and for appearing in commercials for anti-hunger charities.
Now, I'm not saying that the world of international aid isn't seriously fucked up, but that wasn't most of the criticism that Struthers got lobbed at her. People seemed to forget that she was a two-time Emmy Award wining actress on the fantastic All in the Family - and, frankly, a human with feelings.
Thankfully, the folks at John Lane's Ogunquit Playhouse remembered, and cast her in their current production of Dolly Parton's "9 to 5" as Roz, the sceming office suck-up. Among a wonderful cast, Struthers owns the play.
Edward Staudenmayer as Franklin Hart Jr with Sally Struthers as Roz Keith.
If you're not yet a Sally Struthers fan, the show is open until September 15th. Check it out!
