Abba Wine Tasting

“The Abba wine tasting is all about friendships and contacts between two countries that are far from each other,” saysNadja Karlsson, Tasting Room manager at Stockholm’s Spritmuseum.

“The Abba wine tasting is all about friendships and contacts between two countries that are far from each other,” says Nadja Karlsson, Tasting Room manager at Stockholm’s Spritmuseum. “Participants get a full-bodied white wine such as Chardonnay that was typical of the time. To make it a little more interesting, I choose a Semillon wine from Australia’s Hunter Valley. Then we play lots of Abba, talking about the Australian tour in 1977 (famously captured in Lasse Hallström’s Abba: The Movie), before moving on to a full-bodied red Syrah wine from the Barossa Valley in South Australia. Finally we end with a champagne tribute to the Abba song, “Happy New Year,” pairing it with a Langres cheese from the Champagne region.” Read more about Karlsson here.
