A lesbian couple from San Francisco who drew thousands of readers to their blog as they traveled the world in search of "supergays," has now launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise $30,000 to make a documentary of their travels, GayStarNews reports.
"We want to expose people to the global struggle of the LGBT civil rights movement," Jenni Chang and Lisa Dazols say in the video on their Kickstarter page.
"And while many documentaries have addressed LGBT issues in developing countries, none have offered an intimate portrait across such a wide-breadth of geographies threaded together by the personal journey of one couple whose own story mirrors that of the global movement."
The women searched for "supergays" in 16 countries and then chronicled their travels on their blog Out & Around. The film, they say, will include their interviews with people in India, China, Uganda, Chile, Argentina, Cambodia, Kenya, Brazil, and Nepal. See the video from their Kickstarter campaign below:
