Known for his successful porn empire, Michael Lucas showcases queer Israel in the documentary, Undressing Israel: Gay Men in the Promised Land.
The documentary by notorious adult film tycoon Michael Lucas that spotlighted a gay member of Israel’s parliament, a trainer who served openly in the army, a young Arab-Israeli journalist, and a pair of fathers raising their children is coming to DVD, with an extended director’s cut.
Lucas Documentaries and Breaking Glass Pictures have signed a deal to release Lucas’s Undressing Israel: Gay Men in the Promised Land on November 26. Co-directed by Lucas and Tel Aviv filmmaker Yariv Mozer, the evocative film debuted at the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival and has since received acclaim for its examination of Israel’s thriving LGBT community.
The DVD release will include a feature-length commentary with Lucas, as well as Q&A footage from various film festivals. Watch a trailer for the film below.
