Miami's LGBT Elite Strip Down, Raise Money at Halloween Ball

Save DADE held its 19th annual Halloween Ball on Saturday night.

Save DADE, the 20-year-old organization fighting for LGBT rights in south Florida, brought out the muscles and skin at their Halloween ball and found some time to raise money and honor local luminaries.

Held at the Miami Beach Convention Center, the 19th annual Halloween ball was preceded by the SAVE Dade's Young Guardians Society Luminary Awards, honoring philanthropic-minded Miamians. Leaders in HIV services, youth programs, and educations were recognized for their work. (And yes, Save DADE's name references the antigay '70s campaign of Anita Bryant, which snatched rights away from queer Floridians; read more about Save DADE here.)

Take a gander at some of the looks at the Halloween ball, called Armageddon, courtesy of Miami Herald journalist Steve Rothaus.
