The lauded restaurateurs dish on their Berlin.
They came for the bike lanes and stayed for the farmer's markets, parks, cobblestone, and canals. Well, not exactly. But of all the reasons Brooklynites Kevin Avery (of Diner and Queens Hideaway) and Jeffrey Sfire (a DJ) relocated to the "relaxed, perverse, and open" German capital, they count those as their faves. It wasn't long before the duo made a name for themselves in Kreuzberg (the Brooklyn of Berlin), first with the Palisaden Supper Club housed in their living room, and now with a proper restaurant Little Otik (Graefestraße 71), offering up haute yet homey twists on rustic country cooking to no small amount of accolade.
