After a major life-changing event that brought my mortality into question, I decided I would pursue my dreams and travel around the world.

In the two years following the news, my partner and I have traveled on boat, train, plane and camel around the world: China; Tunis; Rome; Paris; London; Malta; all of the Caribbean; Spain; all the US from coast to coast; and planned a Thailand trip for Jan 09. Life short....and we live hard.

I work for a Wake Forest Ortho in Winston, Salem and see people that can no longer travel to the places we do. I post pictures up on a board of my travels and it's a running joke and topic of conversation for my patients to "see where in the world Todd is this week". They also bring pictures of their travels and we put them up on our walls. Hopefully, it's a inspiration for all of us. Sometimes life deals you a bad hand and all you can do is play it out.
