A new luxury boutique hotel in Pennsylvania is offering free wedding ceremonies to same-sex couples who wish to tie the knot in the Keystone State. The River House at Odette’s is teaming with Equal Dignity Pop-Up Nuptuals to offer the free matrimonies on Sunday, March 21, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 pm. in the hotel’s Rhapsody Ballroom and outdoor ceremony spaces. Ceremonies will be prioritized for pre-registered couples, but services will also be happily offered to walk-ins on a first come, first wed basis.
The happy couples will be wed by Celebrant Alisa Tongg and Humanist Celebrant Cynthia Manchester, and may bring up to eight witnesses for the happy occasion. Vendors will be on hand offering free bouquets while the River House at Odette’s will offer a complimentary champagne toast for the couples. All that’s really required is a valid Pennsylvania marriage license. Future couples should note that Pennsylvania does require a three-day waiting period before issuing a marriage license. More information on Pennsylvania marriage law is available here.
For those newlyweds and their guests wanting to continue the celebration, Equal Dignity Packages are available offering an overnight stay on March 21, complimentary valet, and a welcome plate of Pride treats made in house. The River House at Odette’s features 36 impeccably appointed guestrooms and suites. Odette’s Restaurant and Lounge offers fine dining with a piano bar and frequent live entertainment.
