As far as ice skating goes, you can strap on some rentals and take a spin around Rockefeller Center or have a winter adventure in Estonia.
Hilife recently released drone footage from an excursion to Rummu Karjäär. The reservoir sits above an abandoned prison that was active from 1938 to 1991 when the country gained its independence. Since then, water has flooded the quarry, creating a lake that has become a popular attraction for divers.
It turns out it’s a beautiful winter destination as well. The video shows people ice skating over the translucent blue water with the dilapidated structure visible beneath.
