Recalibrate Your Life With These Quiet Parks and Dark Skies Adventure Tours

Recalibrate Your Life With These Quiet Parks and Dark Skies Mindful Adventure Tours from Recal

Recal integrates mindfulness coaching into their adventure itineraries for a lasting, holistic approach to getting away from it all.

Recal, a new mindful adventure travel company, seeks to recalibrate your body and mind with its diverse collection of quiet park and dark skies inclusive tour packages.

Recal, which is short for recalibrate, has five different domestic itineraries for 2022 highlighting the best spots for solitude and stargazing. In addition to traditional activities like hiking, canoeing, backpacking, and smores, each tour includes sessions with a certified mindfulness coach and time devoted to resting and breathing.

Itineraries are broken into Quiet Parks, Dark Skies, and Recal’s Signature series of tours. The Dark Skies trip visits Anza-Borrego State Park in California in May. Then there are two Quiet Park destinations in June: Glamping in Glacier National Park, Montana, and Canoe Camping in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness, Minnesota. The season concludes with two Signature destinations: Backpacking in the Hoh Rainforest of Olympic National Park, Washington, and Hiking and Forest Bathing in the Berkshires, Massachusetts. The Boundary Waters and Hoh Rainforest destinations each feature three different tours depending upon the visitor’s ability level (easy, moderate, and difficult).

But as Recal likes to note, the company's itineraries aren’t just about the destination, but also about the “state of being of the people who venture there.”

“I’ve been in those shoes before,” Recal’s founder Anthony Lorubbio says. “Earlier this year, I was way out of calibration, primarily due to my long hours at the office in a seemingly never-ending hamster wheel of stress and anxiety. It wasn’t until a ‘recal’ trip of my own that I was able to get out of the funk I was in.”

Indeed Lorubbio was so rejuvenated and inspired by his own refreshing escape that he founded Recal in February shortly after he returned home.

“These high-stress positions left me burnt-out, and after my own experience in how to overcome it, I wanted to share it with others,” Lorobbio explains.

Recal seeks to enable travelers to center themselves through learning various wellness techniques, with a heavy emphasis on breathwork. Every Recall tour is cohosted by diverse, inclusive, and independently-owned outfitters, and led by a Recal Mindfulness Coach, certified in various mindfulness and breathwork techniques (such as Wim Hof, XPT, and Oxygen Advantage certifications).

The goal of every trip, says Lorubbio, is not just to help travelers destress during their Recal tour, but also learn how to continue using those new skills to help them destress when they are back at home and the office.

Tour packages start at $1,950 depending on the tour and options selected. Reservations will be accepted starting January 11, 2022. You can learn more by visiting recaltravel.com.
