A big problem facing LGBT activists in non-Western countries is the charge that homosexuality is foreign, an agenda countries like the United States are trying to impose around the world. It was certainly the underlying message of President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe's recent address to the United Nations General Assembly, where he denounced efforts to expand LGBT rights, emphatically declaring: "we are not gays."
It's obviously not a society supportive of sexual minorities so, in solidarity with Zimbabwe's embattled LGBT population, Conan O'Brien gave the homophobic speech a '70s disco remix.
