The Country's 6 Biggest New Year's Eve Blowouts

The 6 Biggest New Year's Eve Blowouts

We're not talking hair, we mean major ragers from New York to New Orleans.

NEW YORK: 2015 First Light NYD at BPM
Promoters for this party, which starts at 2 a.m. and ends seven hours later are declaring it to be "the largest gay New Year's dance party." Quite possibly, since most of the world will be asleep when this bash starts getting happening. Regardless, it sounds like some major debauchery, with three DJs spread between a main floor and lounge. BPM, by the way, is adjacent to The Out NYC, the city's gay-themed hotel. 516 W. 42nd Street, Hell's Kitchen

LOS ANGELES: Winter Wonderland Dance Party at Akbar
One of our favorite haunts in L.A., Akbar promises a good time on NYE. Expect some bearded hottie hipsters dancing to ironic music while trying to sip their free champagne. Akbar turns 18 this year, which the bar/club promises is more reason for celebration. Oh, and get this: no cover! 4356 W. Sunset Boulevard, Silver Lake

LAS VEGAS: Evolution at Havana
This party is the climax of Evolve, three days of gay parties in events in Vegas. Evolution costs a pretty penny ($95 just to get in), but it kinda sounds worth it: performances from Drag Race stars Jujubee and Raven, hosted bar until 12:30 p.m., aeralists, dancers, and surprise guests. Oh, and the best part? A great view of Strip fireworks from Havana's patio. 3801 S. Las Vegas Boulevard, South Strip

MIAMI: Fancy as Fuh at Palace
You never know how a party will be until you're actually there experiencing it, but we get a good vibe from the poster — I mean two hot guys with green and blue beards?! Anyway, tickets for this party begin at $75, but that includes a three-course dinner and a glass of Veuve Clicquot. Someone named Tiffany Fantasia hosts the evening, which promises drag peformances and fireworks when the new year hits. 1200 Ocean Drive, South Beach

CHICAGO: Let It Go! at Roscoe's
This inspired event takes its cues from Disney's mega-hit Frozen. Roscoe's will be transformed into Arendelle, which in gay-land includes an Absolute ice bar. Expect a Frozen sing-along, a real-life Olaf (we want Jonathan Groff, pleaaaase), and performer Aurora Sexton doing her best Elsa and Anna impressions. 3356 N. Halsted, Boystown

NEW ORLEANS: NYE 2014/15 at Bourbon Pub and Parade
If you're lucky enough to be in the Big Easy for NYE, here's the place for you. Money goes farther in NOLA than most other cities; for $30 you'll get VIP entrance, a champagne toast at midnight, a $1,000 balloon drop (whatever that is), and admission to the next day's beer bash. "Bearded lady" Billy Francesca presides over the NYE festivities. 801 Bourbon Street, French Quarter
