Gay-friendly Croatia
I will be traveling to Croatia after a work trip to Paris. I've never been to Croatia and have six nights for personal travel. I am swaying toward spending all six nights in Dubrovnik and bypassing Zagreb altogether. Even a local told me there's nothing special in Zagreb and I should spend the time in Dubrovnik. Will I be able to find other gay people in Dubrovnik and do you have any suggestions of can't-miss stops?
Split has more of a gay ambience than Dubrovnik, with many gay-friendly venues. To mingle with other gay folks, try Split?s mixed Klub svjetskih putnika, behind the National Theatre. Dubrovnik boasts two gay beaches -- Lokrum and Solitudo. Split also has a couple -- Duilovo and Kasuni.

As for can?t miss stops, Dubrovnik?s white marble streets are stunning, the bubbling crystalline pools of Plitvice Lakes National Park, and Split?s Diocletian Palace -- the Roman Emperor?s city within a city, are sights you cannot miss.
