California Ties the Knot

It's not every day that we get to celebrate achieving full marriage equality in a U.S. state, but yesterday California celebrated just that as the State Supreme Court reversed a lower court's ruling, arguing it is unconstitutional to deny same-sex couples the right to marry and that domestic partnerships do not satisfy this right.

Now, while this is certainly cause for celebration in and out of California, it will certainly be cause for some of us to pick up and actually go to California in search of that elusive document and ring! But let's face it, San Francisco is the California city to celebrate a victory like this one, and the party -- a "celebration of love and family" -- will be at the city's LGBT Center at 1800 Market Street this evening at 5:00pm.
