NYC's First New Gay Club in 5 Years Opens Tomorrow
Looking for that shirts-off, deep bass, spinny lights megaclub vibe in New York City? You've been out of luck since The Roxy closed in 2007 and the West Chelsea clubland turned into art galleries. Over the past 10 years, the city that never sleeps has been the city that never dances. But tomorrow, in the 14,000 sq-ft. basement of The Out NYC gay hotel/resort, XL Nightclub is opening to the public with the backing of John Blair and Fornabaio-Voss Events to offer a 7-days-a-week hotspot for homos in Gotham. You know, a proper gay club.
Time will tell how it turns out, whether it's the catalyst for a revived gay nightlife or a dip into stale, expired Queer as Folk nostalgia. But for now, we're looking forward to grabbing a drink and checking it out with 650 of our closest friends. Click XLNightClub.com for full details.
