Secret truth: I've always looked down on Boston. Being raised outside New York City, I was taught to think of Boston as a jumped-up small town, full of irritating blue laws and stuffy Brahmins.
When I drink, the word cocktail makes me giggle innappropriately.
But everything we had was delicious.
This, in fact, was the number one lesson I learned in Boston: drinking makes everything better. Drinking something fabulous from a champagne flute, while surrounded by beautiful things, makes everything fan-fucking-tastic.
