The 27th West Hollywood Halloween Carnaval is just a few weeks away and excitement is building. One of the most grandiose LGBT Halloween parties, the Carnaval attracts half-a-million people and features six stages of performance artists, DJs, dancers, and aerialists spread out over one mile of Santa Monica Boulevard/Route 66. The street party has always been free, which certainly contributes to its popularity, but the elaborate costumes are the biggest draw (expect lots of "Elsas" and "Maleficients" this year). The Carnvaval also brings star wattage to the boulevard, with Pink, Rihanna, and Queen Latifah making appearances. See some images of the Carnaval below:
