New Orleans Tourism will give one lucky winner and a guest the Mardi Gras of a lifetime.
In an effort to encourage more mid-week tourism to New Orleans, and since Mardi Gras (which translates to "Fat Tuesday") is celebrated mid-week, the New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation has decided to give away the "Ultimate Happy Tuesday" sweepstakes, with one lucky U.S. resident winning a once-in-a-lifetime trip for two to Mardi Gras 2017. The trip, valued at approximately $8,250, includes:
Round-trip airfare up to $500 per person for two
Three nights at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel (check-in on Sunday, Feb. 26)
Two costumes for the Krewe of Orpheus parade
Two spots in the Krewe of Orpheus parade, including beads and throws
Two tickets to the parade pre-party at Tipitina’s
Two tickets to the Krewe of Orpheus ‘Orpheuscapade’ after-party
Dinner for two at world-famous Arnaud’s restaurant
Breakfast for two at Chef John Besh’s Silver Whistle Café
