The CDC Just Added Saint Kitts to Very High Risk Tally: Here's The Whole List

Nevis Peak from Saint Kitt

The U.S. health agency now has many LGBTQ+ preferred destinations (from South Africa to the U.K., Maldives, Costa Rica, Thailand, and much of the Caribbean) on the peak risk tally.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recently added some popular island destinations and a handful of Eastern European countries to the list of "very high" risk for travel. Grenada, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Mauritius, Albania, and Serbia on Monday moved to the Level 4: COVID-19 Very High category on the CDC's frequently updated list of risky destinations. The health agency recommends people avoid traveling to Level 4 locations, and if such travel is necessary, it cautions those doing so to be fully vaccinated beforehand.

As of September 14, these are the destinations on the Level 4: COVID-19 Very High list in alphabetical order:

The list is updated regularly, please check CDC's COVID notices before traveling. Destinations fall into the Very High Level 4 category when they have reported more than 500 cases per 100,000 residents in the past 28 days.

In its broader travel guidance, the CDC has recommended avoiding all international travel until you are fully vaccinated.
