Beverly Hills tea boutique shares its recipe for a chocolate-and-tea frozen treat

If coffee isn’t your, well, cup of tea then you're in luck: Basanti, a boutique purveyor of loose leaf teas based in Mexico, recently opened its first U.S. outpost in Beverly Hills. The stylish, modern tea bar carries over 50 high-quality teas, with samples colorfully displayed to make it easier for customers acquaint themselves with the differences between the varieties.

“There are so many choices,” says Marcela Garcia, co-owner of Basanti. "I wanted to break down teas so that they weren’t so intimidating.”

Another way Basanti has made tea less intimidating? With a full menu of treats including frozen blended drinks like the Dragon Cookie, a frosty chocolate concoction with a tart black tea finish that makes for a decadent summer snack.

The Drink: Dragon Cookie

3 oz of Basanti Coco Dragon (black tea flavored with coconut & cookie )
4 oz milk
2 chocolate chip cookies
2 tbsp chocolate chips
2 oz cocoa flavor
1 oz vanilla flavor
Blend with ice and enjoy.
