Flying High

Perhaps it's the extensive in-flight entertainment options—or the rare occasion we've been able to sneak into their Willy Wonk-ish airport Clubhouse—but we've always had a soft spot for Virgin Atlantic.

Clearly we're not alone. The airline was named Best Long Haul Airline 2012 at the British Travel Awards last night. British Airways and Emirates came second and third, respectively. Virgin Atlantic also came second for customer service, behind BA. It's the second big win for the Virgin brand in the last few weeks--Condé Nast readers voted Virgin America the best US airline in October. Earlier this year, Virgin Atlantic was also named Best North American Transatlantic Airline in the World Travel Awards.
