New Orleans
Like most of the world, my heart ached because of the loss of life and devastation wrought by Hurricane Katrina. New Orleans -- proud, soulful, and historical -- still bears scars from this tragic event. The main part of the city, the French Quarter was largely spared damage and for the most part hums along as though nothing happened. Crescent City, including its many gay businesses, still needs us to visit and spend our pink dollars. My partner Robb and I did just that recently and here's our proof: our picture in front of St. Louis Cathedral.
