What better way to show off your newly obtained voguing skills than by waling in your own mini-ball extravaganza! Students will bring it to the runway and show off what they’ve learned in a supportive and body-affirming experience, with trophies awarded for best runway and best vogue. Be sure to wear Pride-est rainbow colors because there will also be a special award for the best dressed participant in Pride colors.
You can sign up or learn more about the Online Vogue Workshop & Mini Ball at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater website (alvinailey.org). The late Black gay dancer Alvin Ailey forever disrupted the dance world in 1958 with a group of young African-American modern dancers. The company continues Ailey's commitment to celebrating the uniqueness of the African-American cultural experience and the preservation and enrichment of American modern dance.
Registered Online Vogue Workshop & Mini Ball students will receive an email with a personal Zoom link one hour before the start of class. Download Zoom prior to class time.
