"I’ll be home for Christmas, you can plan on me. Please have snow and mistletoe and presents on the tree...."

Stuck inside an airport
Using Skype’s WiFi to talk to you for free.

Enough with those outrageous day fees from Boingo or airport terminals that haven't got with the free-Wifi program! (Why can't every place be FLL or PHL?). From Dec 21 – Dec 27, Skype is offering one free hour of Internet access to third-party wireless hotspots to allow free video and voice calls. Click below for more details.

Just follow these instructions:

  1. Sign in to Skype (Macs, PCs and iPhones) - you must have an account beforehand
  2. Go to Tools > Options… > Skype WiFi Access.
  3. Tick Enable Skype WiFi Access.
  4. Connect to a WiFi public hotspot.
  5. In the Skype menu bar, click Tools > Skype WiFi Access.
  6. Follow the instructions on the screen to select and join a compatible public WiFi network.

Almost 50 participating airports across the country.  Happy ho ho!
